I am a licensed professional counselor practicing in Boulder and Broomfield, Colorado. I enjoy working with clients and honor and respect the differences that make each of us unique. I start with the belief that every person has the capacity to fulfill his or her own potential and I support individuals in meeting their goals. I believe in the innate strength and good in each person and believe that the client-therapist relationship is one of the most important aspects of therapy. I offer a non-judgmental space of warmth, trust, and compassion within which a person can work and feel understood.
I specialize in working with couples, Autism/Asperger’s, depression, anxiety, and parenting support and resources. I also am experienced in working with ADHD, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. I offer individual therapy to adults and teenagers, couple’s counseling, parenting support and resources, and life skills coaching. I am a provider for Imagine’s ASD program.
I provide structure and support as needed for people to change old patterns and bring new perspective and strategies into their lives so that they can enjoy more peace and contentment and improved relationships at home and at work.
I start by getting to know each person, their strengths and goals, and then apply my approach to therapy based on each person’s unique qualities. Some of the approaches I draw from are cognitive behavioral, emotionally focused, Gestalt, humanistic, mindfulness-based, motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic. I look forward to working with you.
